Race And Equity In All Planning

Coalition - san francisco (rep-sf)

Dozens of grassroots organizations from across San Francisco have come together to form the housing justice coalition, Race & Equity in all Planning (REP-SF). Our mission is to build a future with diverse communities, stable, affordable housing and equitable access to resources and opportunities.

REP-SF envisions a San Francisco that empowers historically marginalized communities in housing justice and equity in land use. We believe that American Indian, Black, and other Communities of color, immigrant, LGBTQ+, low-income and no-income folks, seniors, and people with disabilities should determine our futures.

We envision planning that puts the expertise of our communities at the forefront to solve issues of displacement, unaffordability, and inequality. We envision housing that we can afford, close to where we work, beautiful and culturally responsive design, and community and public land ownership.  We envision new systems that prioritize the dignity, health, stability, and aspirations of our communities, and build for need and not for greed. Read REP-SF’s Citywide People’s Plan to see our solutions to achieve racial, social, and economic equity in San Francisco’s community planning.

Together, we will make this vision a reality. REP-SF will fight to create new systems that will ensure an equitable San Francisco, for our communities now and for generations to come.

CITYWIDE PeOPLE’S PLAn

REP-SF’s bold, visionary plan for achieving true equity.

What is equity?

Equity means Identifying and executing policies, strategies and goals to ensure that race, ethnicity, income and access to resources do not determine the success of individuals or their communities.
