Take Action

Urgent Action! Feb 27: Tell City Hall We're Here to Stay!

We need you to show up for an urgent action next Thursday, Feb. 27! Our citywide coalitions will be heard at City Hall so that we can push for our solutions that will protect tenants from displacement and put affordability first. Join us to tell the SF Planning Commission and Department that we are here to stay! REP-SF will be joined with our allied coalitions, the San Francisco Anti-Displacement Coalition (SFADC) and the Council of Community Housing Organizations (CCHO) for a press conference, community presentation, and public comment focused on preventing tenant displacement. Suggested talking points will be provided so you can join us in speaking at public comment! Email info@repsf.org to RSVP! Please share widely and to learn more, read REP-SF's blog post on SF Planning's proposed upzonings.

Revitalize for People, Not Profit! (Feb. 20, 2025)

SF wants to “revitalize downtown" by eliminating impact fees for developers to convert offices into housing for a large part of the city. The legislation would take away funding from critical needs such as affordable housing and childcare. Thirty-three organizations representing communities in the South of Market, Tenderloin, and citywide have signed onto a letter opposing this harmful legislation unless amended significantly. Join us in demanding that developers pay their fair share! Take Action to Protect Our Communities NOW:

  • Read our latest blog post to learn more about the proposed legislation and our community demands.
  • Write a letter to Mayor Daniel Lurie and the Board of Supervisors by Feb. 24! Join our letter-writing campaign and share it on your social media! bit.ly/amend-office-to-housing-letter

Tell the Board of Supervisors: Restore Remote Public Comment for Committee Meetings!

Do you care about public access to democratic participation in San Francisco? Have you ever wanted to give testimony at a Board of Supervisors (BOS) or committee meeting, but been unable to because you can’t make it there in person? Contact the Board of Supervisors and urge them to restore remote public comment for committee meetings! You can send them a message through our letter-writing tool: bit.ly/RPC-SF

Originally enacted at the beginning of the pandemic, the BOS repealed remote public comment in fall 2023, shutting out the voices of so many San Franciscans who can't, for myriad reasons, make it to City Hall in the middle of the day to give comment in person. Contact your Supervisors today! For talking points and more information on this issue, check out our campaign letter and sign up here to get more involved!
